2015 Broadley Rocky Hill Vineyard

13.5% alc., $30. · Moderately light garnet color in the glass. The nose is rather primary even with time in the glass. The earthy black cherry core initially lacked charm and expression and was even somewhat gruff. More giving when tasted the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle with pleasant aromas of cherry, fertile earth and spice, a charmingly soft mouthfeel, and enough cherry fruit to satisfy. Score: 89. Reviewed June 25, 2017
