2017 Alma Fria Campbell Ranch Vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

13.3% alc., 115 cases, $50. · Wild yeast barrel fermented in 25% new French oak. Moderate golden yellow color in the glass with a slight haze. Refined aromas of citrus, baked pear and nut oils. A very polished wine in the mouth with focused flavors of lemon, pear, yellow peach and warm croissant that leave you wanting another sip. Impeccable harmony and class with a noticeably long finish. A much more refined wine than the 2017 Plural Chardonnay. Score: 95. Reviewed March 22, 2020
