2000 Littorai Savoy Vineyard Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

14.2% alc., $50. · Deep color with a slight orange tinge to the rim in the glass. The nose is brimming with black cherry fruit enhanced with a gorgeous secondary bouquet of coffee, cardamon spice and leather. A plush and creamy palate of roasted plum, root beer, brown spice and tobacco flavors robed in supple tannins and finishing with a lively grip on the persistent finish. This wine is showing its age beautifully and will be orgasmic for lovers of older Pinot Noirs. Reviewed June 5, 2009
