2008 Stevenson-Barrie Shea Vineyard Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

13.8% alc., $32. · Medium reddish-purple color in the glass. Subdued aromas of black fruits with a hint of herbs. The dark red and black berry core has some charm but is imprisoned in tannins at this point. Pretty linear now, and in need of a few more years in the cellar. About the same the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. The best of the 3 Stevenson-Barrie wines tasted here. Good (+). Reviewed May 11, 2012
