2011 Coeur de Terre Vineyard McMinnville Willamette Valley Oregon Pinot Noir

13.3% alc., pH 3.67, TA 0.61, 1,580 cases, $22, screwcap. Released September 17, 2012. Harvest Brix 22.5º. 60% Estate with the remaining fruit from the McMinnville AVA. Both young and old vines. Clones are Pommard, Wädenswil, Coury, 113, 114, 115, 667 and 777. Aged 11 months in 20% new, 40% once filled, 30% twice filled and 10% neutral French oak barrels. · Medium reddish-purple color in the glass. Aromas of strawberries, hard red candy, leaf and straw replicated in the flvors with the addition of a touch of watermelon and dried hay. The tannins are very supple and the wine exhibits zingy acidity which lifts the finish. A go-to daily drinker. Decent. Reviewed June 23, 2013
