2010 Rhys San Mateo County Pinot Noir

13.3% alc., $NA. · Medium reddish-purple color in the glass. Very aromatic with expressive aromas of black cherry and exotic spices with a hint of toasty oak. Tasty mid weight flavors of black cherry and black raspberry with a savory riff of tar, stem and tobacco. Juicy, with suave tannins, this forward drinking wine is solid but not exceptional. Score: 87. Reviewed September 5, 2013
