Aged 11 months in 50% new, 25% 1-year-old, and 25% 2-year-old French oak barrels. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Plentiful aromatic expression with scents of red and black cherry, strawberry, spice, rose petal and oak. Mid weight flavors of red cherry, red raspberry and cranberry with a modest oak sheen. Silky on the mid palate with some finishing intensity and length. Bright acidity brings focus and vibrancy to the wine making it highly refreshing. The most elegant wine tasted among the 2011 lineup.
