Aged 10 months in 63% new French oak barrels. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. Multifaceted nose offering aromas of earthy dark fruits including raspberry, spice, and a hint of char. Mid weight plum, blackberry and spice flavors are satisfying. The texture is silky soft, and the gossamer tannins give an overall impression of elegance. The finish is noticeably intense. Score: 92. Reviewed July 19, 2014
