14.5% alc., 240 cases, $65. Released January 2016. This vineyard is located on a 1,600-foot ridge on the road to Ukiah and was planted about ten years ago. Cold nights and very rocky soils. Clones 115 and 777. Aged 16 months in French oak barrels, 31% new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. A highly concentrated wine replete with sappy blackberry and black currant flavors accented with an iron-toned minerality. Angular tannins support the fruit load nicely. Score: 91.
