2013 Hartford Court Velvet Sisters Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

14.9% alc., pH 3.67, TA 0.64, 480 cases, $65. Released January 2016. Sourced from a block within an estate vineyard located at the northern “deep end” of Anderson Valley planted to Dijon 115, 667 and 777, and Pommard clones. Uninoculated. Aged 16 months in French oak barrels, 37% new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. A complex wine of great interest, with aromas of cherry, berry, spice box and nutty oak, and a mid weight plus core of well-spiced red fruits. A seductive offering with a silky mouthfeel. Score: 93.
