13.8% alc., pH 3.62, TA 0.54, 341 cases, $85. Clones 114, 115, 667, 777, 2a, Pommard, Martini and Swan. Harvest Brix 22.7º-25.0º. 100% destemmed, 5-day cold soak, inoculated primary and native malolactic fermentations. Aged 16 months on the lees in French oak barrels, 35% new. Bottled unfined and lightly filtered. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. Heavenly scents of raspberry, black cherry and dried herbs lead off. Sleek, refined and polished in the mouth, with both weight of flavor and weightlessness. Savory spices and herbs compliment the red cherry and berry essence. Not the biggest hunk, but very seductive. Score: 93. Reviewed August 17, 2016
