Named for its location in Corral de Tierra, between the Santa Lucia Highlands and Carmel Valley in Monterey county. Winegrower and owner Tom Russell farms Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot. His daughter, Anna, has joined the family business as well. The winery is focused on sustainability and has released the first certified organic wine in Monterey County. 90% of grapes are estate grown.
Pinot Noir is crafted by winemaker David Coventry from estate and purchased grapes. Vegan winemaking and use of American oak whenever possible.
The winery offers a Monterey Pinot Noir, a Russell Estate Pinot Noir and a Tondre Grapefield Pinot Noir as well as several other red varietals.
