Armida Winery
Bruce and Steve Cousins purchased controlling interest in Armida Winery from Robert Frugoli in 1994. Steve has been President of Buena Vista Winery and COO of Freemark Abbey Winery. The pair focus on hand crafted, single vineyard wines primarily from Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley and Alexander Valley. They produce ten different wines including Pinot Noirs from Durell Vineyard (Sonoma Mountain), Black Kite Vineyard (Anderson Valley), Bacigalupi Vineyard (Russian River Valley), Castelli-Knight Ranch (Russian River Valley), and Parmellee-Hill Vineyard (Sonoma Valley). Zinfandel and Chardonnay round out the portfolio. The winemaker is Jessica Boone also known as a "vinophile, punk rock girl, workhorse, bacon lover and card shark." The winery is located just outside Healdsburg in the western hills of Dry Creek Valley. The tasting room at 2201 Westside Road, is open 11:00 to 5:00 daily. The wines are available online. |
