Gioia
Terri Love re-located from Southern California to the Santa Ynez Valley. She first visited this area on vacation in 2007 and fell in love it. She wanted to become part of the winemaking community. She started Gioia ("Joy-Ahh"), the Italian word for joy, in honor of her son Tyler who tragically died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 22. Love works with winemaker Jim Porter of William James Cellars to produce her wines. She sources grapes from Santa Barbara County and Paso Robles for her lineup: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zinfandel. The wines are sold on the website. |
