McFadden Vineyard
Family owned and operated since 1970 in the Potter Valley, McFadden Vineyard began producing wine in 2003 after many years of selling grapes to wineries in Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino counties. Production is less than 3,000 cases annually. The initial 23 acres of vineyards were planted in 1970, followed in succeeding years by 140 more acres of grapes. today, McFadden Vineyard has some of the oldest vines of the nearly 1,500 acres in Potter Valley. Guinness McFadden is the man behind this organic vineyard. He developed a love for wine while serving in the United States Navy in the Mediterranean. McFadden Vineyard is planted to multiple varietals including Pinot Noir. The Pinot Noir is made from Certified (CCOF) organically grown grapes including Pommard 4, Dijon 113 and 115. Value priced at $16. The wines are sold on the website. |
