Jalama Wines
Winemaker Mark Cargasacchi produces small lots of Pinot Noir and Syrah ( less than 420 cases total) from select vineyards throughout Santa Barbara County. The Pinot Noir is sourced from the Cargasacchi family vineyards. Mark's family have been cattle ranchers and farmers in Lompoc for generations and resides at the Cargassachi Jalama Vineyard in the hills just south of Lompoc near Point Conception in the heart of Santa Barbara County. Mark pursued a career in chemistry initially, and later returned home to combine his farming and chemistry knowledge into winemaking and grape growing. His experience was gained through stints at Fess Parker and Rideau Vineyard. He has planned, planted and managed a number of vineyards in the area. The wines are available in California retail distribution and online. |
