Owner and winemaker Peter Scott Fraser launched Scott Cellars with the 2005 vintage. A self-taught winemaker and marketer, Peter sold wine for others and made wine for others before starting his own brand. Production is about 900 cases of Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Cuvee J (Zinfandel and Syrah). All the fruit is sourced from Santa Barbara County except Zinfandel from Paso Robles. The Pinot Noir has come from Sharon's Vineyard and Sierra Madre Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. The mantra is "balance."
The wines are sold online. A tasting room is located in Los Olivos.
