Heron
Proprietor Laely Heron is a world traveler of note who has resided in or visited six of the seven continents and all 50 states. Her father was a mining engineer and adventurer which explains here wanderlust. After attending the Institute of Enology in Bordeaux, she became the first American employee of the Australia giant Lindeman's. Heron wines was launched in 1995 and now produces a portfolio of varietals that include a California and a Sonoma County Pinot Noir. The label features an abstract version of a creature holding an amphora, the owner's version of Bacchus, the Greek God of Wine. The wines are crafted in an urban winery in San Francisco. The wines are distributed to fine wine retail stores and restaurants. |
