Deaver Vineyards
Owned by Ken Deaver, this Amador County winery is known for Zinfandel, Italian and Rhone red varietals, and Ports. Deaver owns 300 acres containing 120-year-old Zinfandel vines and 8 acres of Mission vines (planted around 1853 by Deaver's great grandfather, John A. Davis). The first vintage of Deaver Vineyards Zinfandel was bottled under the Lakeshore label in 1985. A single Sierra Foothills Pinot Noir is produced since the 2006 vintage. The wine is available online. |
