2002 Rockburn Central Otago New Zealand Pinot Noir
14.5% alc., $29. Sourced from three vineyards in Lowburn, Gibbston Valley and Lake Hays.

The nose starts out funky but recovers with air time. Nice Bing cherry aromas with accents of baking spices and vegetation. Veers to prune flavors due to very ripe fruit. Admirable finesse, well-integration of alcohol, and a zippy, if a little sour, finish.
