D.H. Porth
A value or second label of Jim Arterberry's Arterberry Maresh label. In 1959, Jim's grandfather, Jim Maresh, acquired the 26-acre Maresh farm. In 1962, his neighbor Emil Sanders sold him additional acreage. Ted Porth was a farmer and helper on Sanders farm and started working for the Maresh family. Ted brought his brother Ferd to work with him. The Porth brothers were like uncles to Jim's mother Martha. The label is a tribute to the Porth brothers. The initial release is a 2008 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir sourced from Juliard, Winderlea and Maresh vineyards and priced less than $15. |
