Venteux Vineyards
On a family vacation to the Central Coast, Arizonians Scott and Bobbi Stelzle fell in love with the Paso Robles area. They bought ten acres in the Templeton Gap (Rancho Las Tablas) and moved to the Central Coast in 2001. A vineyard was planted (Syrah and Petite Sirah) and a farmhouse was built on the property. Venteux is the French word for "windy," and reflects the coastal breezes that personify this region. Today, Venteux Vineyards is both an estate winery and a premium bed and breakfast with lodging attached to the farmhouse residence. The emphasis is on Rhone varietals but in 2008, a Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir was released. The wines are sold online through the website. |
