McKenzie-Mueller Vineyards & Winery
A small, family owned and operated winery founded in 1989 by Bob Mueller and Karen McKenzie-Mueller. The winery's fifty-acre estate is located in Napa Carneros. Bob is a graduate of University of California at Davis and was the first winemaker for Opus One. He was instrumental in Los Carneros becoming its own AVA.
All wines are estate produced and bottled and are sourced from two estate vineyards: Big Ranch Road in Oak Knoll (Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc dating to 1979) and Los Carneros (Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc). A son, Julius Mueller, is an up and coming winegrower.
A second value-priced label, Real McCoy, consists of estate grown, produced and bottled wines from McKenzie-Mueller Vineyard.
The wines are offered through the winery's online store. Production is 2,500 cases annually.
