Serenity Vineyards
David Willey began in 2003 in Southern France producing a Merlot from the Languedoc Region and later a white wine, both intended for the American market. Serenity Vineyards was launched when fruit became available from Los Alamos Vineyard in California's Central Coast. The first release from Serenity Vineyards came in 2005 consisting of 5,000 cases of single-vineyard designated Chardonnay produced at the Monterey Wine Company facility in King City. Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Syrah and Pinot Noir were added later. The winemaker is Allison Crowe, a University of California at Davis graduate with stints at both Chalone and Bonny Doon to her credit. The winery plans an ultimate production of 30,000 cases |
