J Wrigley Vineyards
John and Jody Wrigley moved to Oregon from Idaho and Arizona, respectively. A wine tasting trip to Oregon grabbed their interest and was followed by many more visits to Oregon looking for property. In 2006, they bought 200 acres in the McMinnville AVA of Yamhill Valley and in 2008 planted nearly 10 acres of Pinot Noir, Riesling and Chardonnay. The first vintage of J Wrigley MAC Cuvee was 2009 sourced from Yamhill Valley Vineyards and Coleman Vineyards. The first estate wines are projected for the 2011 vintage. Planned production eventually is 2,000 cases of estate wines. John is the winemaker. A tasting room in Carlton is shared with Noble Pig Winery. The wines are available through the website as well. |
