McIlroy Cellars
A small, family owned winery dating back to 1972 when Will McIlroy and his family bought a 52-acre farm on Westside Road in Sonoma County. They cleared the prune orchard and planted wine grapes on what is now known as Aquarius Ranch. Will received a degree in winemaking from University of California Davis in 1982. Production is about 4,000 cases annually including Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zinfandel. Grapes are sourced from Aquarius Ranch and small growers in Sonoma County. The winery's Aquarius Ranch Chardonnay is the winery's trademark wine, winning many medals in wine competitions. Pinot Noir is also grown at Aquarius Ranch. Wines may be ordered by fax, phone or e-mail. Visit the website. |
