Baldacci Family Vineyards
Acquired by Tom and Brenda Baldacci in 1997, this 17-acre property is located on the west side of Silverado Trail near the Yountville Crossroad. In 2000, a 7,000-square-foot wine production cave in the hillside behind the tasting room was added. The winemaker is Rolando Herrera, a former winemaker at Chateau Potelle, Vine Cliff, and Paul Hobbs. Herrera's vineyard management company that manages the Baldacci's vineyard holdings. The winery is known for its three estate Stag's Leap Cabernet Sauvignons. Two Pinot Noirs are produced: a Carneros (the Baldaccis have 22 acres of vines in Carneros) and Russian River Valley bottling. The tasting room is in a restored 1923 farm house and is open daily by appointment (707-944-9261). |
