RainSong Vineyard
The RainSong Vineyard is located in the foothills of Oregon's coastal mountains, midway between Eugene and Corvallis. The winery specializes in Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and sparkling wine. Production is less than 1,500 cases per year (800 cases of Pinot Noir). The owners, Mike and Merry Fix, purchased the 55 acre site in 1984. Planting began in 1985 and a winery was built in 1988. There are 9 acres of vines, 6 acres of Pinot Noir ( Pommard, Wädenswil) and 1 acre of Chardonnay and 2 acres of Pinot Meunier. Groups can bottle and custom label barrels of wines under the winery's unique Barrel Bottling Program. The wines are sold through a mailing list. Members of the list receive a newsletter. The winery is open Thanksgiving and Memorial Day weekends.
