Double Bond
A boutique winery producing wines from grapes sourced from the Central Coast region of California. The winery was founded by PhD biochemist John Klacking Winemaker John Thunen who is Klacking's uncle, has over 30 years of experience in making small lots of wine (less than 500 cases for each wine). The term Double Bond is used in chemistry to describe the physical unions that tie two atoms together to form a molecule. The inspiration for Double Bond wine is the bonds the owners share with this fascinating science and elusive art; interacting to innovate and redefine classic wines. A Pinot Noir is crafted from Wolff Vineyard, one of the oldest vineyards in the Edna Valley AVA. Owned and farmed by Jean Pierre Wolff, the vineyard is sustainably farmed. The wine is sold through the winery's wine club and online through the winery's store. |
