Dick and Dolores Kelsey planned a retirement project in 1999, but it soon blossomed into a full time labor of love. With winemaker Mark Cummins, the Kelseys grow Chardonnay for an estate wine and apples for apple wine. In the nearby town of Creston, Richard and Laurie Kelsey grow Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes.
There are several varietals produced including an Arroyo Grande Pinot Noir and an Avila Pinot Noir. The wines are sold through the winery's tasting room and online store.
