Jacella
Veteran winemaker Michael Carr had made wine for many years for others before deciding to start his own label. Educated at University of California at Davis, he has worked in Germany, Australia, Roche Winery, MacRostie Winery and San Juan Vineyards in the state of Washington. In 2002 he returned to California to become head winemaker at Roche Winery in Carneros. With encouragement and support from his wife, Terra, he launched his label, Jacella, in 2008. The lineup includes a Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, a Carneros Chardonnay, a Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Riesling. The wines are sold through the website. |
