Limerick Lane Cellars
A 30-acre estate located in the northeastern corner of the Russian River Valley just south of the town of Healdsburg. The property was first planted to grapes in 1910 by the Del Fava family and the current owner lives in the original homestead. In the 1970s, the property was sold to the Collins family and they turned it into a premier site for Zinfandel and Rhone varieties. Zinfandel was bottled under the Limerick Lane label beginning in 1986 and grapes were sold to noted producers such as Gary Farrell, Davis Bynum, Ravenswood, and DeLoach. Limerick Lane Cellars, a tasting room, winery and the 18-acre Collins Vineyard was sold in 2011 to Jake and Alexis Bilbro. 5 acres of the original plantings are still in production. A Russian River Valley Pinot Noir was produced in the 2009 vintage. Jake grew up three miles west of Limerick Lane and currently is in charge of sales and marketing for Marietta, his family's winery. |
