Mansfield-Dunne Wines
Mansfield-Dunne Wines was launched after a 10-year effort by John and Lynn Peterson to secure land in the Santa Lucia Highlands, grow Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and produce estate wines from their vineyard. Their initial property was acquired in 2009 and will be developed in the future (2013). A second property in the Santa Lucia Highlands is now the Peterson Vineyard. Their journey was encouraged and aided by veteran winemaker, Ed Kurtzman, who is the winemaker. Peterson Vineyard is 8.8 acres planted to Dijon clones 828, 667, 115 and 777, and Pommard 5. 1.1 acres of Chardonnay were added in 2011. The inaugural release is the 2010 Mansfield-Dunne Peterson Vineyard Pinot Noir |
