Appolini Vineyards
A family owned vineyard in the northern Willamette Valley in Forest Grove. The vineyard is planted to Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, with white wines being traditionally Italian-styled and the Pinot Noir Oregon-styled. The Apolloni family's Italian origins are from the Arezzo region in Tuscany, Italy, and the family has over 150 years of winemaking tradition. The label features the Apolloni family coast of arms. Alfredo Apolloni and his spouse Laurine purchased Appoloni Vineyards in 1999, when the 62-acre property had five acres of vineyard planted. The Appolonis have acquired an adjoining 30 acres and have developed 40 additional vineyard acres, predominantly Dijon clones. Each vineyard is named for Apolloni children, bearing their middle names: Filippo, Olivia and Flaminia. A tasting room is located in Forest Grove (Highway 6 at Milepost 44).
