Charles Schetter found a property overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu to raise his family in 2004. The site also turned out to be ideal for winegrowing. He studied enology and viticulture through UC Davis courses and sought consultation from top vintners in California. Pinot Noir (115, 667 and 777) and Chardonnay (96 and 124) were planted in his backyard. Schetter manages the vineyard himself, doing all pruning and care.
