Xylem Wines
A partnership between two friends who share a passion for viticulture and winemaking. Forrest Schaad began planting wine grapes on his family farm on Rex Hill in the Chehalem Mountains in 2007. In 2008, Jason Brumley assisted Forrest with planting of vines on the farm. They worked in the Oregon wine industry, made home wine and took formal studies in winemaking and viticulture. In 2012, their vineyard produced fruit for wine and a licensed and bonded winery was established in the basement of the house that Jason shares with his wife, Cokie Anderson. 2012 was the inaugural vintage of Xylem wines. |
