Steelhead Vineyards
This brand was created in 1998 to honor the Steelhead trout that are native to Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley. The first vintage, a Zinfandel blend, was released from the 2002 vintage. Several varietals are produced from Sonoma County vineyards with the assistance of consulting winemaker Hugh Chapelle. Steelhead Vineyards supports Trout Unlimited (TU), striving to improve the balance between water and land throughout California's wine country. With the partnership, Steelhead Trout have again returned to streams and watersheds to spawn and continue their life cycle. A reasonably priced Sonoma County Pinot Noir is offered |
