Creekview Vineyards
A small estate winery in the eastern foothills of San Martin, California, surrounded by the Santa Clara Valley. The winery was founded by winemakers Gregory and Teri Peterson who began making wine at home while nurturing ten vines in the small backyard of their San Jose home. The couple attended vineyard management classes at UC Davis and started planting small blocks of vines on a property they acquired in San Martin. They started entering their wines in competitions and received multiple awards, leading to the start of a bonded winery in 2005. The 1.5-acre estate vineyard is adjacent the couple's winery and is planted to multiple warm weather varieties. Multiple varietals are offered including Pinot Noir from sourced grapes. The winery is open for tasting Saturday and Sunday 11:00 - 5:00 every third weekend at 12467 Creekview Ct. in San Martin. A downtown San Jose tasting room is open Wednesday - Sunday at Sherman Cellars, 40 Post St.. |
