Jeff Fischer started out with a friends and family label, Casa Pescador. He searched California looking for "the right grape to make wine on my mind," and landed in 2007 in Happy Canyon in Santa Barbara County.

Among the varietals produced is a Pinot Noir from La Encantada Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA (185 cases)

Jeff is a "garagiste" winemaker and his limited production wines can be found at top restaurants in Los Angeles such as Spago, Providence and AOC. Caroline Styne of AOC said, "He's been able to achieve a balance in his wines in that they definitely speak to the area that they are from, but they are not overblown, fruity wines.
