LUMEN

A partnership between winemaker Lane Tanner and Will Henry dedicated to offering wines from cool-climate vineyards where grapes are picked early before over ripe. "The resulting wines are reminiscent of California wines of old." Tanner is an iconic Central Coast winemaker known for wines she produced under the Hitching Post and Lane Tanner labels. Henry has worked in the wine business since 1989 including his family's wine distribution company, The Henry Wine Group. He also is an accomplished journalist and photographer and founded the non-profit organization Save The Waves.

Together, Tanner and Henry produce their wines in Santa Maria. The wines are distributed by mailing list and sold on the winery's website.

2013 LUMEN Sierra Madre Vineyard Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir

13.9% alc., 99 cases, $49. A barrel selection. Harvest average Brix 23.7º. Clones 667 and Pommard 5.
