Murray owns and manages about 1,000 acres of Central Coast vineyard land. 132 acres of Pinot Noir are planted at the Murmur Vineyards ( along with Chardonnay and red and white Rhone varieties), a 213-acre eclectic vineyard in the proposed southern extension of the Santa Maria Valley AVA. The vineyard was planted in 2007
