Founder, grower and winemaker Anthony Schroth established Premonition Cellars in 2007. He traveled to Sonoma County originally to play baseball for Sonoma State University. He caught the wine bug after enrolling in a wine course. After graduation, he worked for Harvest Moon Estate & Winery in the Russian River Valley where he fine-tuned his winemaking and wine business skills.
In 2007, someone walked into the Harvest Moon Cellars tasting room and asked if anyone wanted to buy his Pinot Noir fruit. The vineyard was in poor shape and needed rehabilitation which Anthony agreed to do.
