Fantesca Estate & Winery

This is a 10-acre estate vineyard and boutique winery operation on Spring Mountain in the Napa Valley. Fantesca Estate & Winery was originally in the dowry of Carline Bale when she married Charles Krug in 1860. Susan and Duane Hoff, left the high-paced corporate world and founded their Spring Mountain winery in 2004. The first wines (Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon) were released in 2005 and were created by winemakers Nils and Kirk Venge. A Pinot Noir from the Bacigalupi Vineyard in the Russian River Valley (45 cases) was released from the 2006 vintage. In 2006, Heidi Peterson Barrett ("The Wine Diva of Napa") joined the winemaking team and the 2008 Fantesca Chardonnay is the first wine from Fantesca that Barrett crafted from grape to bottle.
