Kreglinger Wine Estates acquired Piper Brook Vineyard in Tasmania in 1997. Kreglinger has a long history, having been founded in 1797 in Antwerp and establishing Kreglinger Australia in 1893. Kreglinger also owns Ninth Island in Tasmania. The winemaker is Rene Bezemer and the viticulturist is Bruce McCormack.
The wines are imported by American Estate Wines, Inc., Philadelphia, PA.

has a paucity of fruit in the aromas and flavors showing instead dried herbs,
brown spice, coffee and toast. Flamboyant tannins and bright acidity overwhelm
the demure and faded fruit. Might drink better with food.
