In 2004, Eric K. Glunt and Jim Walker, a University California Davis trained vitciulturist, founded their own label with their winemaker friend, Chris Demetre. The home vineyard is located 7 miles south of the Sonoma square just off Highway 121, in both the Sonoma Valley and Carneros appellations. The vineyard is planted to Chardonnay (3 acres), Syrah (4 acres), and Pinot Noir (13 acres).
The wines are not available on the website. I have seen and tasted the Pinot Noir through retail channels. The wines are available for tasting at the Growers Collective Tasting Room located in the Sonoma Plaza Square at 452 First Stree East, Suite G (www.growine.com).

2007 Eric K James Carneros Pinot Noir

available for as little as $18 in the retail marketplace).

Moderate
reddish-purple color in the glass. Alluring aromas of dark cherries and
berries with hints of mocha, spice and leather. The berry core really
grabs on during entry bringing you to attention. Underpinnings of root
beer, brown spice and oak add interest. Smoothly textured and easy
to drink. This is about as good a value in California Pinot Noir as I have ever
tasted. The label sports a turkey making this a perfect wine for an upcoming
Thanksgiving dinner. Its darker fruit tones will match well with dark meat and
stuffing. The heavy bottle will impress your relatives and they will think you paid
a lot more. Very good.

Pinot with aromas of black fruits, earth, smoke and ash. Brambly dark berry fruit
that is rustic, rusty and well-oaked. Notable structure and backbone for a wine in
