Ankeny Vineyard Winery

This winery has been growing Pinot Noir on the southernmost slopes of the Salem Hills in Oregon's Willamette Valley since 1982. Owner and winemaker Joe Olexa moved onto the land in 1980, and although he had four college degrees, none had anything to do with viticulture and winemaking, yet he successfully produces small lots of wine from the 35-acre Ankeny Vineyard. The wines have won a number of awards in various Oregon wine competitions.

The tasting room with nearby goats, emu and llama, and a gorgeous view of the Willamette Valley and Coast Range is open daily 11:00 to 5:00.
