Utopia Vineyard
A small producer of small-lot, handcrafted estate wines with an emphasis on Pinot Noir. The first 4-acre block planted in 2002 consists of Dijon 115, 667 and 777, along with Pommard, Wädenswil and Swan clones. A second planting in 2005 of 5 1-acre blocks was added containing five different heirloom selections from old vine cuttings from vineyards in Oregon and California. The vineyard is managed by JM Vinegrower headed by Javier Marin, the former vineyardist at Shea Vineyard. The winemaker is owner Dan Warnschuis, who crafts the wines at Carlton Winemaker's Studio. A tasting room adjacent the vineyard is open weekends. The wines are sold through the winery's online store. Articles About Utopia Vineyard |
