2014 Daniel Ferrington Vineyard Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 12.9% alc., pH 3.57, TA 0.64, 90 cases, $60. Feral primary and malolactic fermentations, aged 10 months in French oak barrels, 40% new. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. A complex wine with an array of ripe fruit aromas and flavors including plum, blueberry, black cherry and boysenberry. Amazing phenolic ripeness at this low ABV. The wine is blessed with deft barrel management, integrated ripe tannins and a lip-smacking finish. Score: 92. Reviewed October 2, 2016
