Barrel fermented and aged 11 months in French oak barrels, 33% new. · Moderate golden yellow color in the glass. More appealing overall than the RRV AVA bottling with inviting aromas of lemon, apple and a hint of flint. More weight on the palate than the RRV AVA Chardonnay, but not the exuberant fruitiness associated with many RRV Chardonnays. Sleek in texture, with good acidity and a slight saltiness married to the citrus fruits. Score: 93. Reviewed February 3, 2019
