13.5% alc., $55. · Moderately light garnet color in the glass. Aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, rose petal and refined oak. Mid weight plus in style, with flavors of black cherry and purple berry. A little dark chocolate chimes in with the boisterous, dark fruits. There is some umami at play as well. This wine grabs your attention by virtue of its excellent balance, joyous tannic backbone and harmony. Score: 92. Reviewed July 8, 2019
